There are so many makeup brands to choose from it can make one's head spin! Thankfully there are some brands that make it easy to choose. Here are some of our favorites which made the cut for their own specific reasons. Whether it be organic, or cost efficient, every brand on our list is a cruelty free choice.
100% Pure
This brand does it all. Natural, mostly vegan (aside from a couple products containing honey), cruelty free, and high in antioxidants. Not to mention their bold shades, and popularity among many makeup artists. That's quite a checklist for us!
Bite Beauty
Organic, hydrating and long lasting. Bite specializes in lip products, if you couldn't tell! Did we mention they're also antioxidant rich? Bite is a great brand for those of us who prefer clean lipstick we're not afraid to wear while eating, without having to sacrifice quality.
Tarte
One of our absolute favs. Tarte has a huge selection of bright and bold products. Free from synthetic fragrances, parabens, petrochemicals, and GMOs, they stand up to most other Sephora/Ulta brands. Their only downside, they're not as vegan as 100% Pure, but they are still cruelty free.
ELF
Who knew a prominent drug store product would be cruelty free? We chose ELF for their in-a-pinch accessibility, sleek packaging, and price point. However, you get what you pay for. Their products are not as clean as other brands, and they can be very hit or miss. But in a hurry, it's always good to know where to look!
Physicians Formula
Another quick and affordable drug store go to, Physicians Formula has the added benefit of being hypo-allergenic and mostly paraben free. If you find yourself at the drugstore, but know you have sensitive skin, reach for this brand. Their formulas will be easier on your face than most others you'll find there.
